Jesus' Message to the Church at Smyrma.

What can we take from Jesus's message to the Church at Smyrna?

What cautions and warnings should we take to heart as followers of Jesus Christ in this time of rebellion against God and His laws?

What does it mean to be an overcomer that the second death will not hurt?

Is there anything happening in society today that parallels what was happening with this ancient church at Smyrna?

Are we willing to stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might? Are we able to stand firm against the devil's attacks regardless of where they come from?

Are there false apostles in the modern church peddling lies and deceptions to gain power and be more acceptable in a new world system or order?

Are there "churches" that are Christian in name but actually more like Satan's synagogue described in the verse below?

Are you spending time with the Lord and in His word so you can be strong against the devil's attacks?

If so, the devil and his cohorts hate you and will do all they can to weaken your relationship with God through distractions and deception. Please don't let that happen! We need Jesus now more than ever! The world needs Jesus now more than ever!

So be strong in the Lord and the power of his might. The ability to stand is inside of us through the power of the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Revelation 2:8-11:
And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,
'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: "I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."
