I wrote this in 2008 or so when there was so much talk about government bailouts, financial rescues and the like. I got me thinking about the GREATEST BAILOUT PLAN in the history of humanity! I am talking about GOD'S GREAT BAILOUT PLAN described in John 3:16-18.
(16) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
In these verses, Jesus in His own words describes the HEAVENLY BAILOUT PLAN. His plan to reach into a world of people who He so lovingly created for fellowship and relationship. To reach out to a world of people who were eternally lost, who’s souls were bankrupt and in desperate need of THE TRUTH and Eternal Life. Just like people are today!
We see in God’s Word that GOD’S BAILOUT PLAN was initiated by love and delivered by mercy through the life, death and resurrection of God the Son and made available to all who would receive it by Grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast.”
The problem is many aren’t willing to admit SOUL BANKRUPTCY and keep trying their own SPIRITUAL BAILOUT PLANS by:
- Attempting to be good enough.
- Attempting to do enough good deeds.
- Attempting to earn value points before God.
The good news is GOD ALREADY VALUES US and that’s why He sent His Son to BAIL US OUT! We just have to receive the BAILOUT, which is found in the promise that comes through Jesus Christ! There’s no hidden agenda and everything is written in RED and BLACK ink found on the printed pages of God’s word, the Bible. It’s there for anyone who wants to receive it! Jesus said in the latter part of John 3:16 “Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus, the Son of God was sent by the Father to be the way back to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The way is Jesus Christ who came to offer the way of hope, the way of restoration, the way of spiritual prosperity and the way of Eternal Life. Jesus is both God the Son and the Son of God. He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords and Savior to all who will accept His offer of forgiveness, restoration, and salvation.
Through Jesus Christ, God offers us THE GREATEST BAILOUT PLAN IN THE HISTORY OF MAN!! It was signed and sealed in His Blood and confirmed through the bodily resurrection of Jesus
from the dead.
I know many reading this have already received this gift from Heaven and know the reality of GOD’S BAILOUT PLAN. We know His plan holds its full value throughout Eternity for God has shown us in His word and has sent His Holy Spirit to affirm these heavenly promises. But many still don’t know the gospel and God wants to send us to them. By His grace, mercy, and power we must continue to surrender ourselves to His Eternal purposes and plans while living out our lives here on planet Earth. We’ll have an eternity in heaven to enjoy the full blessings of His Eternal Kingdom.
For now, we must remain committed to spreading this Good News of the gospel no matter what the cost. This is our calling, our purpose, our divine destiny! We are to hold up the banner of His Truth and the promise of salvation so that others may receive the same gift we have. We must always remember, God still “so loves the world” and has chosen all of us as His people to communicate and display that love through! We must GO to whom God calls us to and be who God calls us to be as we go to share the GOOD NEWS of GOD'S GREAT BAILOUT PLAN!
