Perilous Times Will Come!

Follower of Jesus, we must keep in mind that the perilous, dangerous times Paul describes in this letter to Timothy come from godless people living out their carnal desires.

They put themselves first, love money, boast about themselves with arrogant words, blaspheme God with their words and actions, despise parental authority, and slander people with their unforgiving, hate-filled words.

The people Paul describes in this letter are complainers, never thankful for anything. They hate people who stand for the truth of God's Word while claiming to have a form of godliness, all the while resisting God's Word and power in their lives. They are self-righteous deceivers, traitors to God, and the truth of God's Word. Paul warned Timothy and, in turn, warns us to turn away from this kind of people. He instructs us to be wise and not let them infect our thinking with their heretical brand of beliefs and teachings that deny the very truths of God's Word!

Instead, stand in God's truth and be most interested in getting a "like" from God rather than these worldly thinkers! That includes those who claim to be Christian and at the same time deny the teachings of the one they claim to follow. Stand your ground, and if you can't win them over to the truth, distance yourself from them. God will deal with them just like He has dealt with all of us in our times of ignorance and sinfulness. If their hearts are open to correction, the Holy Spirit will guide them back to Him.
These days, heretical teachings are spreading like wildfire, and more are embracing these lies from the pit of hell.

These teachings include things like, there is no hell, all are already saved, abortion is okay, God approves homosexuality, you can change your gender, immorality is acceptable to God, and more evil thinking like this. Even a baby Christian can read God's word and perceive these things as demonically inspired deceptions. Don't let go of the truth or be afraid to speak it boldly and in love! Precious souls are at stake for all eternity! If they respond to the truth, they will thank God at the Great White Throne Judgement Seat, and thank you too for not being afraid to give them the truth!

We must continually read God's Word. That will help us stay on the straight and narrow path Jesus calls us to walk on. Don't listen to those secular theorists or so-called bible teachers who walk deeper into darkness and away from the light. Instead, remember these words from the Apostle John regarding being a follower of Jesus Christ.

"He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." (1 John 2:6)

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7)
